My film work

Here are a few hand-picked films from hundreds of corporate/training/promo films over the past 20 years for many clients in many countries. My role has included writing, concepting, directing, producing, shooting, and editing. Before you take a look, bear in mind that I don't classify these films in today's climate of effects, AI, better editing technology, and cheaper production as outstanding work. Each film, however, holds a place for me as either being great storytelling, superb motion work for the time, brilliant sound design, or exemplary emotive B2B filmmaking.

Wonder to Insight

This project bought to life the vastness of Refinitiv data, it visualised data, speed and insight in a new and exciting way and performed as a back drop to events and environmental spaces.

We Are Refinitiv

Animation is the surest way (without spending a fortune on a bespoke life action shoot) to create an ownable narrative and brand film. Here we launched the Refinitiv brand and identity to the world, it was bold and stuck.

Day One

Possibly my favourite animation ever. We had to launch a new company without giving the identity away to employees. So I wrote an emotive script and told the story through minimal illustration.

Power of Us

The animation was on point with this film but it stuck more so for the lesson of believing in the power of your team, ideas and pitching…the client wanted a photo montage.

Icon to Eikon

As a film maker one of the holy grails is to make a single shot film, I chose to do it with a pigeon. It worked and became the most loved film in TR.

Practical Law

Its pretty simple corporate story telling but stands out as a quick turn film with a solid production partner, Casual Films.

FX Trading

I still like this for the combination of on screen production and GFX combined with composited GFX, although a tad dated now.

News Exchange

Using my guerrilla film background in the corporate space here we create a very unique style of film for the opening of the biggest new conference in the world.

Eikon Promo

I can attribute a lot of my career success to one man, Daniel Bunston, here all the way back in 2015 he flexed his motion design skills to create this new styled emotive/ethereal product film.

Times Square NY

The 11 screen jumbotron on the side of the Thomsons Reuters building in Times Square was my teams playground for a few years, it was an interesting format to work with, here are a few to provide a sense of scale.
